Overview

The Folder Block is a container block that holds multiple files on the canvas. When you need to work with a collection of documents — meeting notes, research papers, financial statements, etc. — the Folder Block groups them together. Agents can then use the Folder Synthesis Block to query across all files in the folder.

How to Use

  1. Add a Folder Block — Click on the canvas → Select “Folder Block,” or drag a folder from your computer onto the canvas
  2. Add files — Drag and drop files into the folder, or upload them directly
  3. Organize your collection — Group related documents together
  4. Connect downstream — Link the Folder Block to a Folder Synthesis Block to run queries across all files, or connect directly to Chat, Prompt, Deep Research, or other blocks that should use the folder as a source

Example Use Cases

  • Meeting notes collection — Group all meeting notes for a project, then synthesize action items across all of them
  • Research papers — Collect research papers on a topic for cross-document analysis and theme extraction
  • Financial statements — Group quarterly reports for trend analysis across periods
  • Customer feedback — Collect survey responses or support tickets for pattern identification
  • Legal documents — Group contracts or policy documents for compliance review
  • Due diligence — Folder of PDFs → Deep Research → executive summary
  • RFP response — Folder of requirements + past answers → Memo or Document output
